Free tracking audit for online stores: Are Meta and Google spending your ad budget on good data?

Find what fires twice, which shopping events are missing, which scripts slow your store, and what fires before the shopper accepts cookies. Every problem comes with proof, plus a list of what to fix first.

How it works

From your address to a fix list

You enter your store’s address and we do the rest. If you ask, we email you the full report.

How we check and score
  1. 01Enter your store's addressNothing to install, no login.
  2. 02Watch the visitYou see each step as the browser reaches it: cookie banner, product, cart, checkout, then the same on a phone.
  3. 03See what to fixYou get a score and the biggest problems with the points they cost. If you ask, we email you the evidence and the fixes.

What we never do

  • We never place an order or pay.
  • We never type data into a form.
  • We never get around bot protection. If it stops us, there is no score.

What this check sees

  • Every tracking request your store sends: before any cookie choice, after rejecting cookies and after accepting them
  • Tags loaded through Google Tag Manager
  • Product view, add-to-cart and checkout events, up to the checkout page
  • Google Consent Mode signals in Google requests
  • How much your tracking scripts weigh, and Google PageSpeed for your homepage

What it can't see

  • Server-side tracking, such as the Meta Conversions API or a server-side tag manager. Data sent from a server needs the shopper's consent too, so ask your developer or agency how yours is set up
  • A completed purchase: we never pay or place an order, so the purchase event is not checked
  • Whether Meta and Google accept the events, or how much revenue tracking gaps cost you
  • Visitors outside the EU, or logged-in shoppers: we visit as a new shopper from the EU

Questions

Is it really free? Do I need an account?

It is free and needs no account. The summary shows right away. We email you the evidence and the fixes if you ask for them.

What does the browser do?

It opens your homepage, rejects cookies, and in a separate visit accepts them, opens a product, adds it to the cart and goes to the checkout page. It does the same as a phone. It never types in your data and stops before payment.

Who can see the result?

The result is public: anyone can see it, with its date, at margyn.io/en/audit/ followed by the store address. The evidence and the fixes only go out by email. If it is your store and you want it taken down, email support@margyn.io.

Does it prove every purchase reaches my ad accounts?

No. We never place an order, and we cannot see server-side tracking. It shows what happens in the browser up to the checkout page.

What if my store uses bot protection?

If a security check stops our browser, we give no score and say what stopped it. We never get around it.
